12/28/2023 0 Comments Hello neighbor alpha 3 release date![]() Now in a separate room, there is less of a chance for the player to be seen or heard. By doing this, the player is separated from the AI. What this means, is that if the player uses a wind chime to alert Nielsen to the kitchen exit, it is better for them to go and sprint back to the front door and into the living room rather than looking for a closet. It's better to circumvent the AI's navigation pattern. The AI can hear the player’s footsteps when walking or sprinting near them, and will turn to the player’s direction if they move while not crouching. First, if the player is in the same room as the AI, or in the room next to the AI, they must make sure to be crouching when moving. The AI of each character in this game (excluding Skipper the dog) has basic do's and don't's. To get in the basement door, hold E (or whatever the player’s action key is set to) to open the door. The player can use multiple distractions to sneak past this AI, such as sounding his car alarm or ringing a wind chime. Once they are at the Peterson house, the player needs to gain access into the basement, which involves sneaking around Nielsen, the AI (who mainly stays in the living room where the basement is). Peterson's old house, which indicates that it is where the player needs to go next. Once the player goes to the main office in the Banner, a small cutscene plays. Whatever location is emphasized, by cutscenes or in-game events, is where the player needs to go during this part of the game. This early on in the Beta, the player cannot walk to many areas yet, as the Guest will catch and send them back to the starting point. Since you have the pieces to unlock the basement door, all you have to do is use them! If you’re having trouble navigating around your neighbor, make sure to check out our guide to breaking and entering. After the tutorial, the player ends up at their main location, the Raven Brooks Banner. This is the second and last piece to unlocking the basement door. Hanging on the wooden post in the middle of the room is the crowbar. Use these steps to get to the top of the roof and you’ll find a square hole with a light shining through it. Keep going forward until you see a roof with wooden steps on it. Jump down to the area in front of you with the windows and walk up the plank. You should find yourself outside of the house. You’ll have to jump across and through the window you broke earlier. Now, you can pull the lever and run onto the platform to bring you up. Immediately across from the platform is a window. ![]() When you pull this, you’ll find that the platform in front of you will go up. In this room make note of the lever on the wall. Circle around and head back up the stairs. Head through the door on the right and it should take you back to the hallway you were in before. This is your first piece to unlocking the basement door. Fall through this and you’ll be in a dark room with a cabinet. Once you have the key, open the gate and head up the set of stairs. You have to jump across and on the panel, remove the painting from the wall and use the magnet to get the silver key that’s inside. On the wall parallel from you, you’ll see an apple painting. Open the first door on the right and you’ll find a room with the floor missing, minus a tiny panel against the house. ![]() If you head through the door behind the gate, you’ll find a hallway. Pulling this lever will open the black gate. ![]() Once you’ve managed that, you’ll see a lever on the wall. From that light, jump across and through the opening on the side of the fence. Jump on the night stand on the right of the gate and then jump on the light against the wall immediately in front of you. Run up the stairs and you’ll find a black gate. You’ll have to enter your neighbor's home and veer to the right and towards the back of the house. You’ll have to shuffle around the boxes a bit to do this but it’s there. There’s a crack in the fence and in between it is a magnet. Once you’ve turned on the generator, run to the pile of boxes against the back fence, all the way on the right. Run around the right side of the house and through the open back window, press E on the big red button on the generator. ![]() You won’t even need to enter the house to pull this task off. When you initially land in front of your home in Hello Neighbor, the first thing you’re going to want to do is turn on the generator.
